Police were on that day and for a considerable period

afterwards employed in the search. No trace was

found of any person answering to the description of Mr.H.H.Kirch (who was well known in the Colony) having left by steamer or otherwise nor was his body found nor has any trace of him been discovered by the Hong Kong Police since.

And I make this solemm declaration con-

scientiously believing the same to be true and by virtue of the provisions of the statutory Declarations

Act 1835.
